Australian hardcore act Miles Away have released a new song from their forthcoming 7-inch, Memory Embraced. Earlier this year, the band visited New York City to record their new album to be titled Endless Roads. The record is the first new album from the band since 2007's Rewind, Repeat... released through 6131 Records.

The only important thing to come out of Australia was Yahoo Serious.

As an Australian it disappoints me greatly that Aussie bands seem to merely copy their American masters with mediocre chord progressions and melodies played really fast with no view to originality or progression. Case in point: Miles Away.Show your generic hardcore to kids in Western Australia and they go apeshit cause over there, they've got fuck all and to them, a polished turd is an exciting shiny thing rather than just a turd. This is known as Parkway Drive syndrome. Please, somebody take these morons and double kick their breakdowns back to Byron Bay where they can impress the local junkies and surfers who don't know shit from clay. |
