The Living End: “London Calling (The Clash)”

The Living End recently took a break from writing and recording their follow up to 2008's White Noise to perform a series of Clash songs at the fourteenth annual Community Cup in Melbourne, Austrialia. The event was attended by 10,000 people, and raised $180,000 (Australian dollars) for charity partner Reclink, an organisation providing sport and arts activities to help people experiencing disadvantage.

I feel that I'm in the minority when I say that Modern Artillery was their best album. Seriously, I fucking love that record. What don't you like about it?

WHen I find myself wanting to listen to TLE, I usually find myself going to either Roll On or Modern Artillery. The last couple of records have been pretty bland.

This band doesn't get that much attention because they're Australian. People on this site only seem to care about American bands. There's a kick ass Aussie band called Lungs - http://www.myspace.com/howlungswork - that have just released a cracker of a new album. They've gotten no exposure here at all. Haha, if you like good tunes give them a try you crazy yanks!
