This is a quote from Midheaven/Revolver distributor: "Yes, it's true. The long-threatened JAWBREAKER Etc. compilation will be exclusively released via Midheaven/Revolver USA the week of July 22nd. It will be available on CD and double LP. More info is available here,including streaming RealAudio excerpts."

First Step is new, as well as non live versions of friends back east, and friendly fire. Im buying it for the 3 F's. And peel it the fuck down is new. and so on. Im guessing the dear you bonus tracks when blackball reissues it are going to be shirt and ive heard a demo version of I love you so much... with alternate lyrics. wyzo

does blackball have good distro? i'm leaving for vacation by noon on tuesday and i need to pick this up before then. if i was at home in cleveland, it'd be no problem but i'm at my parents house in nowhere. will best buy or circuit city carry this you think? can't believe i'm supporting a mega store but to get jawbreaker a week earlier...i can compromise my beliefs

My local indie record store is carrying it. They don't usually carry anything by Jawbreaker but 24 Hour Revenge Therapy, too.... -linuxpunkr

i like how they throw the word emo around about a hundred times while describing jawbreaker on that site. i love jawbreaker/i hate emo. is there something wrong with me?

Is "Dear You" worth buying? It's the only album I can find here but I can't find sound clips of it anywhere.

It looks like most people here are in the minority. I hear a lot of people talk shit about Dear You, some even before hearing it. Either they're a really versitile band (I'd probably agree) or they were trying to cater to too many listeners, but this album is all over as far as sound is concerned. Awesome production, and Blake does quite a bit of singing/crooning, as apposed to the yelling on most of the other Jawbreaker albums. So yeah, I like it a lot. I E-Bayed it. Still not my favorite album by them (I still prefer 24 Hour Revenge Therapy after further review...), but still pretty stellar. -linuxpunkr

If you want to find a copy of Dear You, you'll have to find it first. They have some copies probably on eBay. It is out of print for now. Or you could wait for Blackball to release it. Hopefully they will do that soon because there's a lot of bonus goodies they claim.

Buy this new one, ETC. It's a wonderful introduction to the band. Basically, buy everything they've put out. 24 Hour Revenge Therapy and Dear You are good places to start.

i've been reading and i think i'm a go pick up 24hr revenge therapy...but i just realized that good riddance cover album came out and i really want that too. however, i'm all up for discovering new music so jawbreaker maybe this evenings purchase.

All you have to do is drive down to Canada if you'd like Dear You. Thanks to Canadian distributing, you'll find five copies of it in every mega store (ala HMV).
