In perhaps one of the more unusual pairings in recent memory, Ben Cook of Fucked Up and Young Governor engaged in a drum-off with Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers as part of Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, the latest tween film centred around the Disney pop trio. Cook says only this "extra work can be very funny." The film was shot in Toronto, Ontario which Cook calls home.
The film was released on DVD today if that's something you're into. Movies and Documentaries (37 comments)

I've always wondered about legit musicians who do things like this (like that one Jonnas brothers back up band which is entirely black dudes in their late 30's). Do people worry about helping generate this crap or are they just happy to get a pay check? I mean, it's harmless kid fun, not like they played the marching band at the Glen Beck rally or anything. 12+ Replies

I still think taking a paycheck from Rupert Murdoch is funnier. But not funny haha.

I honestly couldn't tell which drummer was a Jonas. Either way, Cook probably thinks this is the funniest damn thing that's ever happened to him. So would I. Propers!

lol at the video of them drumming not even coming close to synching with the audio - aren't these two men actual drummers? 1+ Reply

HAHA! This, along with the Brokencyde bullshit, is further proof that Fucked Up are a wretched shit-stain on music. 4+ Replies

i think it would be the coolest and funniest thing ever if the jonas brothers put out a exclusively lifetime influenced record next.

"Extra work" is downplaying it. It's not that big a stretch. The dude was a child actor. He was on Goosebumps episodes and a film version of "Little Men" amongst other things. 1+ Reply
