I'm interviewing Dan Didier from the Promise Ring this Sunday. Post any questions you may have for the band below. Rock.

How do they feel about being on the urban outfitters soundtrack, and in light of that appearance and the recent popularity of bands like jimmy eat world and new found glory are they moving in a more mainstream direction?

when are they going to tour again? i missed them with jommy eat world(sold out show) and i'm hoping for them to do a tour in support of wood/water and come by massachusetts, and not play an 18+ show? and: what are their favorite records at the moment?

when i asked davy to play electric ping at their oslo show, he declined saying "we're not that drunk!" what the hell did that mean? tell him they're a great band as well, and their new disc is top notch.

Ask him why they go through so many bass players and why Scott Schoenbeck is no longer in the band. thanks
Someone (July 31, 2002)
Ask him how the hell they all got to be so damn cute! Also ask them if he would rather be tickled or teased and why.

-How cool is it that Jimmy Eat World are in a position to return a favor and take the Promise Ring on tour, instead of them opening for you. Many bands who achieve big burst of popularity usually leave their ex touring mates behind. follow up: -How does it make you feel to know that a band you carried on tour for so long has just exploded on a mainstream level and has achieved much of what you were once looking for? Seeing that happen, does that reaffirm the Promise Ring's drive towards mainstream or does it allow you to remain a solid, big "indie" band?

I saw this band called Adrenalin O.D. do a reunion show and they played for nearly 3 hours. They had their original bass player Jack Steeples playing that show. He's the greatest bass player I've ever seen.

First off, I was at the Pittsburgh show this past Monday, I was that tall kid in the front on the right side of the stage, although I can't say I timed the concert, TPR put on one hell of a show! They played 10 songs off the new disc (Size of Your Life, Stop Playing Guitar, Become One Anything One Time, Wake Up April, Get on the Floor, Half Year Sun, My Life is At Home, Letters to the Far Reaches, Bread and Cofee, Feed the Night) which was awesome as hell, they also threw in 4 of their older songs. "My Life is at Home" stole the show in my opinion. I highly doubt that their set was "just" an hour.
They also didn't do an encore. I respect that. Some bands do an encore no matter what. That is cheap as hell. It was obvious that the Pittsburgh crowd wasnt feeling them, you could hear a pin drop inbetween songs, so they didnt do an encore, good for them.
show rest of comment

Ask them what they think about The Getaway joining up onto their label(Epitaph)? Have they even heard of them?

Here's a couple: What provoked them to move from Jade Tree to Anti-? Also, any chance they're going to play Milky Christmas again up at the Miramar Theatre? 1+ Reply

Ask them why they only played for an hour monday nite at their headling show in Pittsburgh. The hour they did play was awesome...but an hour as the headlner? disapointing
