Mixtapes to release EP on Animal Style Records

Cincinnati, OH's Mixtapes will be releasing a new EP on Animal Style Records. The record is titled A Short Collection of Short Songs and is due out November 30, 2010. It is the follow-up to Thought About Growing Up which was released in 2010.

I missed the boat on these guys til recently. Its good although I'd not so far as all that. the songwriting feels a little uneven at times. a little deliberately and broadly indie. Not saying I could do better. definitely potential.

in about a year or two's time when these guys have released enough songs to fill a CD, some label with decent backing (i'm thinking No Idea?) needs to step up and release a compilation of all their stuff so far. It will fucking slay all, and they will be huge, and i will be very happy.
