While he and his musical collaborators are currently sporting their Grinderman persona to support that band's new record Grinderman 2, Nick Cave has revealed that a new Bad Seeds record is planned for 2011. The iconoclastic Australian musician told Spinner:
There will be a new Bad Seeds record next year… I haven't written anything yet, but that's not how I go about things anyway. I have the starting date for the next record and that's when I go into the office and start it. I'm not doing that until I've finished the Grinderman tour, which is amazing. The band is something else.
Grinderman 2 came out in September on Anti-. The Bad Seeds, which features the same principals, last released Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! in 2008, also on Anti-.
