Recover to release “Challenger” in January

Recover will be releasing Challenger on January 25, 2011. The 15-song album consists primarily of previously unreleased material recorded in 2003 as well as two brand new songs.

Find the cover art here. Their last album was 2004's major label release, This May Be The Year I Disappear.

They had one album that was moderately good that I was stoked on for about 2 weeks from what I remember, then put out a couple of meh EPs and then vanished from my radar.

One record that at the time sounded fresh right at the start of nu-screamo that now sounds horrendous and juvenile, a very decent EP, and bro-ish major label flop... from what I recall.

If I still had it I would probably listen to it. The best example of their downward slide was the re-recording of Push Push... they sucked the energy right out

side note: the drummer filling in for the impossibles at their last show was really killer... that DVD is excellent.

well described. rodeo and picasso sounded good years ago, listened to it lately and asked how i used to listen to it so much. the ep that followed was their best and i don't mind listening to it. their last album was 100% garbage.

My friends and I were biiiiig Impossibles fans so by proxy we became Recover fans. Rodeo, Dialogue from a Film and Picasso were great songs... after that, they tried too hard to blend their sound into what the Impossibles were doing it seemed like.

I saw them once, enjoyed it immensely and can still listen to those 3 songs and enjoy them.
