The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Warner Music Group has enlisted Goldman Sachs to help find a buyer for all or part of its business. Despite this, Warner is still seeking an acquisition of competitor EMI Group. The article speculates that a sale could lead to a breakup of the company, which includes Asylum, Atlantic, Cordless, East West, Elektra, Nonesuch, Reprise, Rhino, Roadrunner, Rykodisc, and Sire Records.
