Tours: Rise Against / Coliseum (Europe)

Coliseum will be supporting Rise Against on an upcoming tour of Europe and playing headline shows on the tour's off dates. Click below for the details.

The band will be supporting 2010's House With A Curse, while Rise Against's new LP Endgame is due out March 15, 2011. Shortly after their European run with Coliseum, they'll begin an American tour alongside Bad Religion and Four Year Strong.

really? do you honestly not understand why a smaller band would do shows with a bigger band? i'm not a fan of Rise Against and i am very much a fan of Coliseum and i can't for the life of me understand why someone would be bummed out that they would take the chance to play to a different audience. if this tour was coming to my town i would buy a ticket, go see Coliseum, buy some merch, and then leave before Rise Against. and also not complain about it.

It was a joke, fanboy. Well, mostly a joke.

It's a fallacy to suggest playing to a "different audience" and making more money somehow legitimizes playing with shit mall-punk bands. They're playing with Rise Against for what are most likely financial reasons. It's sort of depressing. These are facts. U mad?

Also note that, because they're touring with a big corporate band, Coliseum will be losing tons of merch money to the venues, and Rise Against will be getting the overwhelming majority of the bands' share of ticket prices. So if you were to pay to see one of these shows, you'd be supporting Rise Against, not Coliseum. Leaving before the band you paid $30 for just makes you an even bigger chump.
