Tours: Face to Face / Strung Out

After announcing their next album yesterday, Face to Face has also announced a North American headlining tour with stops across the US and Canada. The run will feature support from Strung Out on all shows. The band's long-awaited new record is titled Laugh Now, Laugh Later and is due out May 17, 2011 via Antagonist. It's the band's eighth studio album and first since 2002's How To Ruin Everything. It was produced by Trever Keith and Scott Shiflett, recorded by Joby Ford and mixed by Joe Barresi (Queens of the Stone Age, Bad Religion).

the VA date should change venues. I dont think this tour can bring out 1,500 people in Norfolk, Virginia.

They brought that many out for their farewell tour...

...although if I'm being completely honest, most of the crowd was hot high school girls who came for My Chemical Romance, and didn't know who FTF was, and then MCR didn't actually play that night. I guess what I'm saying is that Trever Keith is pretty damn savvy about marketing his band.

Face to Face had some radio airplay in the mid to late 90s and were on a major briefly. I don't think Strung Out was ever that well known outside of punk circles.

that song vanity received a little airplay on kroq when the album came out but i guess it didn't "stick" or whatever. i've also heard the intro to "diver" sampled a few times to fade in and out of talk shows on that station.

I'm in upstate new york we don't get shit 90% of the time. Stuff always goes to fucking NYC instead. At least finally someone is showing up and I also have M.D.C and OFF! In a couple weeks so it's starting to improve.

6/4 is a clusterfuck for people in central TX. Guitar Wolf and OWTH at Red 7 in Austin, Youth of Today at Emo's, Deftones and Dillinger Escape Plan at Austin Music Hall and now this show in San Antonio all on the same night.

Fuuuuuuuck!!! I already have a Deftones ticket, but I could easily sell it. Damn. What should I do????
