Media: The Strokes: ‘Angles’

The Strokes have posted a stream of their new album, Angles. It is due out March 22, 2011 and is their first since First Impressions of Earth was released in 2006.

That was pretty extreme. If that first record had come out without the hype, I think it would be perceived differently. I still enjoy that thing.

yeah, i can't listen to the stream here at work, but i've heard from various sources that it's a sort of return to form for the band. does that seem true???

oh, and the darkness have gotten back together and are writing a new record and performing at download 2011...

its not like their first album if that's what you're wondering. it has 2, maybe 3, good songs. i like their first 2 albums and was excited for this, but its just a let down.

give it a shot, but set your expectations low, that way if you like it it'll be a big surprise and then you can tell me that i'm full of shit. it's a win-win.

What's so bad about Tigers Jaw? Anyways, I really liked the first record from The Strokes. I downloaded this one last night and hated it.

Hm. It's really not as bad as everyone says it is. Nothing will beat Is This It, and I feel like people are just "over" the Strokes. But this album isn't bad. It's fun, it's rockin', it's just the Strokes yo.
