Rise Records has signed in to support Record Store Day with two exclusives this year. The label is promising a limited (1000 copies) pressing of three of Piebald's albums in a triple gatefold colored vinyl. The label promises that these are the band's "best three albums" and suggests that those are: When Life Hands You Lemons, If It Weren't for Venetian Blinds It Would Be Curtains for Us All and We Are The Only Friends We Have.

That's pretty bold of Rise to claim that those are Piebald's "best three albums." I think every Piebald album was amazing in it's own unique way.

excited about this, not excited about the pushing, shoving, disappointment and subsequent ebay flipping that always comes with record store day.

Anybody have ANY idea of a record store that might carry these in the greater Detroit/Ann Arbor area? I don't even know of any stores at all that carry new vinyl (other than that mall store where the hair-flicking kids go). |
