love DLJ, love Hot Snakes but didn't love "I Blame You" I felt like it could have had some more energy and better songs. The Night Marchers record was way better (not that they were competing).

Listenign to this stream now, hopefully it changes my mind.

i love "i blame you", and i listen to it a few times a month still. despite that fact, i do feel like IBY is somewhat underwritten and could have definitely been better. so i'm psyched for this album.

I had the same impression (although there are a few songs on IBY that I adore, like "Widow of My Dreams"). Just finished this stream, and wasn't disappointed by a single track. Can't wait to pick this up.

I'm occasionally a shithead for thinking a recording sucks for a while before I end up loving it forever, and this is definitely the vibe I'm getting from this-a bit more relaxed, but not less intense at all. I have a very good feeling about this becoming a staple.

They also killed it at Empty Bottle a few weeks ago. It's dead.
