Media: SWTHRT (Museum Mouth) release ‘Compact Disc’ for free download

Southport, NC's SWTHRT has rather ironically released their debut album Compact Disc for free download. The band notably features Museum Mouth drummer Karl Kuehn.

I always hate to be the guy that shits on someone else's art, but this is really not my taste. All the songs sound the same, right? I'm not crazy, am I? It's a similar guitar riff for about 30 seconds, then the guitar quiets down and he sings in the same rhythm as every other song.

I think the whole surf-rock genre is just mediocre. There's only so much you can do with it. And God help you if you forget your feedback pedal.

I mean, stuff like this, Wavves and Best Coast is nice, but goddamn repetitive.
