Videos: The Menzingers: "Irish Goodbyes"

Hear Nebraska and Love Drunk Studios have unveiled a new video from The Menzingers in which the group performed a new song entitled "Irish Goodbyes." The track was filmed live in one take at Ava House in Philadelphia, PA.

an "irish goodbye" is (obviously) when you leave without saying bye to anyone... not when you arrive somewhere without saying hello. way to try and steal mac lethal's thunder and not even do it right.

that's actually exactly what it is, b-hole. leaving without saying goodbye. it's named for those times when you leave a bar and don't want anyone you're with to know how drunk you are. there is actually no other colloquial application for the phrase. and it sure as hell doesn't mean "coming home and getting high alone". ps- this song is straight-up phoned in. sorry .org.

I'm happy to see the good old AVA house they used for this. I miss being able to go see The Menzingers play there weekly shows there when I lived a few blocks from it, and if the full band was not free to play, there always be Gregg or J doing a solo show one night of the week. They still play Philly religiously but most of there shows are now at The Church, great music still and always, but will never be the same as The AVA House days. Regardless what I may think being a Philly local for life so far sadly,they make Philly worth living in at times.

I like this song, but I don't think it's up to their previous standard. Maybe I just like Tom's voice better. Maybe this song just doesn't go anywhere and feels like an introduction rather than a standalone song.
