Media: Frank Turner: 'England Keep My Bones'

Frank Turner's highly anticipated album England Keep My Bones is streaming on NME's website. Frank had this to say about the album:

"At last, the wait is over and it feels great to know I can finally get the album out to people for them to enjoy. It also makes me feel very cool to be doing this through the auspices of NME, which is an unusual feeling! Hope you like it!"

England Keep My Bones will be released June 6 in the U.K. and June 7 worldwide. Turner released Poetry of the Deed in 2009 on Epitaph Records and is currently on tour in the U.K.

Took me 2 years to complete. Writing, drawing, inking, coloring. Would've taken me less if I didn't have a real job.

I realize how ridiculous the price is for the paperback. Stupid full color printing costs. However, the download version is only $3. Yay!

Thanks! It's all a ploy though. My ultimate plan is to get it made into a movie and hook up with the chick they cast as the lead. That's what made me pick up the pencil for all 122 pages.

Better than POTD for sure. Even though I was expecting a little more after the 2 awesome songs he released as previews.

I still don't get what's the point on the song 'English Curse'.... it really sucks.

And 'Redemption' must be one of his best songs ever.

haha, I think you're going a bit far by saying that it "really sucks". A capella songs are simply very unconventional today, something you're not used to. Perhaps you'll never fully like it, but I bet you'll soon retract your initial opinion.

It is not that I don't like a capella songs. It is just that the song itself sounds terrible to me.

I also don't find the point on the first song.

Anyways, besides this 2 tracks, the album is really good. Much better than POTD but not as good as LIAS. There's some really stellar songs on here.

I actually have a lot of respect for Frank for including English Curse on the album. It's tough to sing a capella and do it well, and I think he pulled it off nicely.

Seems better than POTD from what I have heard.
Although to be honest I find all the English ballad type stuff pretty annoying to listen to.
I literally live next the New Forest (which he is singing about in English Curse) and this stuff does not appeal to me at all.
It seems with each album we get more and more of this stuff. I have no idea who it appeals to.

I agree though I don't like it much either, but great album. 'I Am Disappeared' is my favourite of all his songs.

Hands down better than Poetry of the Deed. Better than Love Ire & Song? I'm not sure about that, but this is a phenomenal album with some stellar songs.
