Expanded ‘Making the Scene’ NYHC book on the way

Butter Goose Press has announced plans to release an expanded edition of Making a Scene - New York Hardcore in Photos, Lyrics and Commentary Revisited 1985-1988. The book, originally published in 1989, has been revamped to include over 200 hundred photographs as well as a foreword by Madball's Freddy Cricien, among other new accounts.

might have to check this out. i've never been a fan of NYHC but i found the sections on it in American Hardcore to be a really interesting read

This. NYHC is not really my thing. I think they did it better out west.

being from Detroit, my heart is with the midwest scene, though now that i think of it, any old school hardcore tattoos i have are west coast bands (black flag, descendents)
