Dischord Records will be releasing DC's Faith's album Subject To Change on September 26, 2011. The new edition of the EP has been expanded into a full length with the addition of the band's first demo and the entire album has been remastered. The demo material was recorded in December 1981 at Inner Ear Studio and includes early versions of many of the tracks that later appeared on the Faith/Void album. The album will be available on CD/LP+MP3 and will feature a full-color album re-design, new period photos, liner-notes by Ian MacKaye and packaging similar to the Artificial Peace and Government Issue reissues that were released last Fall.

When you listen to the Void half of the split and "Subject To Change" on that mega-CD, Faith's half of the split really seems sub-par. I don't expect the demo to fare much better when put in even more direct comparison to "Subject To Change" on this LP.

I would much rather listen to Subject to Change than Void. One of my favorite EPs and some of my favorite guitar playing. |
