Green Day: “Carpe Diem” (live in San Francisco)

When he's not being kicked off flights or hanging with Carmela, Billie Joe Armstrong is a musician in a band called Green Day. That band just debuted a brand new song in San Francisco which was helpfully captured by a show attendee. Green Day's last album was 21st Century Breakdown.

JT wishlist 4 new Gree Days iTunes CD:

1) No mor than 14 mp3s on CD.
2) Only 1 balad. If want make less than 1, that cool too.
3) No lyrical contnuity betwen songs. Remmber Kristin and Gloria? I don't know who they are. Make songss about more people.
4) Little picture that plays on iPod should b cooler. Skulls or somthing. No people hugging.

Same mid-paced rock that could be expected from the last three albums really.

I don't mind the last three albums actually. I'd probably like them if they were the only albums Green Day had ever put out, but considering their former selves, I find them very mediocre.

I wish they'd put out a whole record that sounded like Platypus/Jaded/In The End.

Where's the but? This is a blatant rip-off.

I wanna be fair to Green Day. I would never say they owe us this or that, because for 20 years, fans have been saying that very thing. But a new record in the vein of Nimrod (not sounding like Nimrod,,,just taking the good stuff and changing it up a little) would win over everyone.
