Isn't the idea behind a charity concert to hire bands people would want to pay to see?

RisingSun (November 14, 2011)

You're right man! These things should hire bands like Nickelback and visitors can donate money to stop them from playing. Every $10 puts the volume down a little. Untill you can not hear them anymore! Awesome plan much?

Skibz777 (November 14, 2011)

Tl;dr

RisingSun (November 14, 2011)

Problem with reading, bro?

Skibz777 (November 14, 2011)

Reading is the poor man's drinking.

jwinston (November 14, 2011)

I dunno Skibz, I would want to see Blink 182, NFG and Social Distortion. Blink aren't great live (understatement, right?) but it would be good fun, I haven't seen NFG since 2002 but they were fun too so defo would give them another whirl and I've never seen Social Distortion but I'd quite like to... Also, I like reading and drinking :-)

lostcausegiveup (November 14, 2011)

I'd go to this, even if Social D are a little past their prime at this point. Incubus? Huh, still around. I'll be damned.

mill83 (November 14, 2011)

I'd go for Chevelle... "Play that one song of yours, Chevelle!"

holy_balls (November 14, 2011)

311 is the punkest band playing. they mix reggae, rap and rock. they are breaking all the rules of music, so that makes them punk!

Skibz777 (November 14, 2011)

Which would also explain why they suck the most.

nate_desolate (November 15, 2011)

Their stuff up until 2001's From Chaos was awesome. Doing their own thing and making their own sound. But I'm guessing you've never given them the time of day.

Skibz777 (November 15, 2011)

Jeez, a fella can't even innocently quip a snobby one-liner these days without being called out, can he? My comment meant to insult "punk rock", not 311, who, based on what little I've heard of them, I have no strong feelings about one way or another.

nate_desolate (November 16, 2011)

Well I respect your opinion and the fact that you took the time to explain yourself. I'd argue that they don't really fit with most people's tastes on this site so they wouldn't be well received any time their name comes up in an announcement. Now this guy below me...

lostcausegiveup (November 15, 2011)

dude, really? 311 are awful. they're just.....just awful.

ProdigalSon75 (November 14, 2011)

im sure night 2 will be worse
