Bruce Springsteen has announced tour dates going from March through the end of July. The shows are in support of his upcoming album, Wrecking Ball. It's due out March 6th, 2012. Bruce's last album was Working on a Dream in 2009.
I do not like his music! The corporate Rolling Stone culture he resides in offends my punk sensibilities! A rich man who evades taxes and charges $71 for the cheap seats while preaching to middle class America also offends me! My grammar is spotty at best, and I have spell check!
*shrug* that's all right. i don't require anyone to agree with me, and i agree with you more often then not, i think. i'm a big fan, and i don't begrudge him his success. if he was swinging by east coast canada, i'd be there. (it's rumored Summerside is rying to get him)
Just trying to state my agreement with the "Bruce sux!!!!" & "that's not punx!" crowd while not actually saying "Bruce sux!!!!" & "that's not punx!"
I don't begrudge his success or anyone's personal taste. I do begrudge his coverage on the site. I don't want to say punknews should be more strict about where they draw the line on what is "punk" news or not, but at the same time I see Springsteen as so far over the line that it shouldn't even be a question in this case. Like if they did news on Led Zeppelin reissues or who won American Idol.
We usually do agree, I like you. You're not like the other people, here, in the trailer park.
His songs just suck and used to annoy the crap out of me back when I used to listen to the radio or watch videos. The posting of his news on here is hilarious and so weird i cant figure it out. Why no crappy U2 posts? They are in the same genre right? And it aint punk. Cant you bruce fans get your updates from some top40.org or something? I think punknews should draw the line.
if they're gonna draw a line, draw it at Sleigh Bells or some horseshit like that. i've been listening to him my whole life, and his songs are punker then half the "punk" shit coming out these days.
yeah, i understand and respect that opinion. it's just like i said to buddy boy below me there, if we're gonna draw a line, lets not do it with the Boss. there are so many, far worse, equally unpunk bands that the site does cover.
Try living in Scotland, man. I see like four dates in England and nothing in Scotland.
Paint it Black played here once and so eloquently put it to the crowd of like ten kids:- "All the promoters tell you not to play in Scotland because you won't make any money - but we're punks, so we don't give a fuck about money!"
I'm torn, I want to go but outside of the Star Wars in concert deal a few years ago, I don't think I've ever been happy with a concert I've been to at the Palace
this announcement blew my excitement for NOLA jazzfest through the fucking roof. Bruce AND the beach boys?!!! plus a killer lineup to support them? i knew moving here was a good decision.
uh-oh. cue the "Bruce sux!!!!" & "that's not punx!". fuck you guys, the boss is awesome.
