Dave Grohl developing comedy series for FX

Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters has begun developing a new comedy series for FX. He is working with comedian Dana Gould on the series which would revolve around a rock band reaching the brink of stardom and breaking up. The series would document the band seeking help from a couples counselor, which may remind some of the non-fictional story of Metallica's therapy exercises in Some Kind of Monster.

The project is as-yet untilted but if picked up would join a lineup which includes critically acclaimed shows like Archer, Justified and Louie

In history? Really? I think that's a stretch. And anyway, even if he's not particularly funny, that's why he has a comedian on board. Grohl can offer insight into the actual inner workings of a band dealing with rock stardom (something he probably knows a little bit about being one of the most successful musicians in the HISTORY), and Dana Gould can write the jokes.

I'm interested to see what happens with this. FX has consistently pumped out entertaining shows, and the majority of the ones that were cancelled were victims of poor ratings, not poor content. FUCKING HELL BRING BACK TERRIERS YOU FUCKS (since I'm sure FX execs are reading this).

I've met and hung out with him several times, and he's one of the nicest, most down to Earth, funny guys I've ever met. He's also incredibly passionate about music of all genres, and has used his fame and influence to help out many artists he feels need attention. A total A++++ guy.

actually it's the best comedy series ever, called "Archer", I'd even say it's better than South Park, at least way more concistent + the charachters have more depth to them. christ, I hate shallow people.

I've never even heard of it, so isn't it rather assumptive to call me shallow? Although, to be fair, I'm sure I'd hate it regardless, because I highly doubt it's worthwhile comedy if it doesn't have Milton Berle OR Jack Benny.

Nah, it can't be funny, Ricky Gervais is in it. I think my vote would have to go to 'Kolchak: The Night Stalker', though I don't believe comedy was their intention.

Christ, I watched the zombie episode a couple of weeks ago... that show is so insanely bad but I can't stop watching it. I did like that the "fat" chick in the first episode who was supposed to be morbidly obese was roughly normal shaped (possibly slightly chubby but in no way fat) by today's standards

Why are people reading so heavily into this? I have NO IDEA what that picture's from. The man in picture looks kind of like Jon Hamm from 'Mad Men' and it's obviously animated, so I just randomly said 'South Park'. I would have said the 'The Simpsons', but they're not yellow, so....WhAT?!? WHAT DO YOU PEOPLE WANT FROM ME?!
