Tours: Skabilly Rebels (western US)

Skabilly Rebels, a ska/ rockabilly hybrid group featuring Roddy "Radiation" Byers of The Specials, a spring tour, which kicks off at the end of the month. The trek supports their debut full-length, Blues Attack!.

There's still two dates left to be announced (the press release confirmed 12), but whatever. As long as the word's out.

Note that the band will also be playing a large chunk of Specials tunes on their setlist, and that Byers is touring with a special American version of his combo, including Danny Dean of Danny Dean & the Homewreckers, if that means anything to anyone.

Actually that would be enough to make me check this out, if they were going to play anywhere near me. Anything Specials related is definitely worth seeing live.

i have owned the skabilly rebel compilation of all of roddy byers' work after the specials for about 6 years now, and it's been a disc i come back to at least every 2 months... his work is amazing, and seeing this live would be great. though, i doubt it will come to canada. excited there's new material though
