Tours: Bob Mould (20th Anniversary of ‘Copper Blue’)

Bob Mould of Husker Du, Sugar and his eponymous albums, has announced some scattered dates in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the seminal Sugar album, Copper Blue. If you haven't heard it, you can find out why it was so widely acclaimed on Spotify or Rdio.

I know it's blasphemy but this is my favorite Mould record. It came out at a perfect time for me. I can't believe it's been 20 years.

I saw Mould play Hoover Dam acoustic 2 summers ago at the 930 Club and it was insanely awesome

Saw him at Tramps with Modest Mouse i do believe. Great record but loved File Under just as much.

It's not my favourite Mould album (Flip Your Wig has that honour), this is very close.

Sugar was Mould's best work. Husker Du gets all the acclaim because of the era they were in and deservedly so but I think the energy and aggression in Sugar seemed to suit Mould. Copper Blue is amazing.

the album just never did anything for me. reminded me too much of warehouse (not a compliment).

Husker Du were far better than Sugar in my opinion.Give me remixed expanded versions of Huskers albums over this anyday!

He did play at World Cafe Live back in April. It wasn't the Copper Blue tour, but he was reading excerpts from his book and playing some songs. Was hoping to go and get my copy signed but couldnt make it. I agree though Philly is getting jipped on some tours this summer. RBF/Goldfinger , Casualties/Down By Law are two that stick out.
