Hostage Calm, Fireworks, Breathe Carolina join Warped 2012

Some more familiar faces have been added to Warped Tour 2012. This week's additions are: Breathe Carolina, Mod Sun, Fireworks, Hostage Calm, I Call Fives, Matt Toka, and You Me At Six.

These additions bring the total participants to more than 50, including: Transit, Wax, A Loss For Words, Bayside, Every Time I Die, Living With Lions, Make Do And Mend, Man Overboard, Mayday Parade, Polar Bear Club, Senses Fail, Tonight Alive, I Am The Avalanche. Title Fight and Vanna

i lost a lot of band shirts in a really bad apartment fire we had 6 years or so back. some of them for bands that i don't think exist anymore. i particularly miss my The Fully Down t-shirt.

A friend of mine screenprinted a mash-up shirt of cro-mags and wu-tang clan for me. Ladyfriend at the time tossed her jeans in with my laundry without checking the pockets. Lo and behold, her "kissable red" lipstick was all over that shirt.

So. Mad. That shirt was righteous.

Don't listen to him. They're early work is pretty straight forward hardcore. They're latest record however has a very melodic quality. Imagine beach boys-esque harmonies over a Red Animal War record with a faster tempo. Get the self titled. Great stuff.

Albums are good, but the live footage I have seen does not sound well. As if the band is on, but the vocals are fucked.

I happened to catch this band a few years ago at Warped. Really weird to see dudes "intensely" dancing and head banging to computer files on their laptop. Fucking there were a ton of bands like that that summer.

I will probably go this year if I could get like a confirmation that the bands I like won't be playing a the same time. Hostage Calm, Fireworks, Every Time I Die, Living With Lions, A Loss For Words, Polar Bear Club, Make Do And Mend, I Am The Avalanche and Title Fight is a pretty good line up for me.

They manage pretty well. Some of the little nuances on record don't translate well to the stage but it's nothing too important that would bum a reasonable show-attendee out.

Yeah, I make it in every Warped thread, but each time I just keep hoping that the idea gets through just a little bit...alas, trying to convince a crowd of punk rockers to look at things through a balanced, objective and rational viewpoint is like expecting a box full of dead salamanders to learn particle physics.

I'd say Warped Tour is the primary target here. True, there's not much Warped bashing in this particular thread - outside of nickvicious's blatant "RIP Warped Tour 1995-2006." - but there's certainly more of that than there is any commentary on contemporary punk music. If anything, *I'm* the guy who has to remind people of modern music's affect on Warped and not vice versa.
