Tours: Face to Face announce ‘Ignorance is Bliss’ acoustic tour

Face to Face have announced an acoustic tour, where they will be performing songs from their album Ignorance is Bliss. So far only four dates have been announced, three in Colorado and one in San Diego, but the band says more will be coming.

The first Face To Face tour in years that I'd love to see. But then, I thought Ignorance is Bliss was a great album.

I bought this album a few years ago purely because I heard how people slated it for being such a departure and that fascinated me (it helped that I heard "Devil You Know" and loved it as well). It's far and away their best album in my opinion. Hope they do some UK dates.

Ignorance is Bliss is like Pinkerton. Way more loved now than when it was first released. Me and my friends hated it at first.

Reactionary was what turned me away from Face to Face. I loved Ignorance is Bliss even when it first came out. Then when the punx shit a ton of bricks they came out with an album full of very generic sounding Face to Face songs and had a fan vote on their website for which songs made the album. It was the most blatant, pandering bullshit reaction to the backlash and I lost a ton of respect for them.

I would say give it another chance. It's not for everyone but if you can get past that it doesn't sound like Big Choice it's a really good album. I haven't listened to anything since Reactionary so I can't say anything good or bad about their output since.

Reactionary was OK. How to Ruin Everything was really good I thought. If you listen to the songs Trever clearly knew the band was coming to an end. The lyrics are very nostalgic.
The new one is also really good...one of the better reunion band records I think.

Check out IIB again, it's really great. How to ruin everything is great also, and the new record rocks. Reactionary is the only record I don't love by this band

i dont know that it counts as a proper album, but Standards and Practices was only okay, imo. kinda balanced out by the fact that they have one of my favorite live albums ever though.

If it were a bar band doing those songs in succession, it would be fun. It isn't. I would have to make a conscious choice to put that record on and I'd rather listen to every original vs Face to Face's saccharine copy.
It's no Partytime for Assholes.

Seems like most people don't really like Reactionary. Not sure why. I actually think it's one of their strongest. Ignorance Is Bliss is amazing too.

stupid idea, just go on a regular tour, acoustic songs are just good gimmick tracks to tack on the end of reissues to trick people into buying the same record that you already own again

I get what you mean, but that is pretty much the going rate for a band that has been touring as long as, and has the back catalog, of Face to Face.

man, i'd pay more than 20 bucks to see Face to Face, even if it was an acoustic set. i'm starving for a decent show. i might go check out Wilhem Scream in May, though. they're playing Hunters, and that's a pretty sweet venue.

I'd definitely drop $20 to see this. Hell, 10 years ago I probably would have spent even more. I regularly spend more than that on WHL games. $20 is too much? If you're not working at Wal-Mart and living off ramen noodles, that's nothing.

I remember seeing them on tour in support of this album. These songs are cringe worthy when played live and mixed in with the rest of their catalog.

Sounds like it could be cool, Would rather just see the whole album played as it was recorded. I was supposed to see them in Austin but they cancelled because the tour supporting IIB was not going so well. Still haven't Seen a live performance of any IIB songs...Still waiting.

P.S. IIB - best album/ Dont Turn Away- best punk rock album
