Pitchfork Media is reporting that Spencer Moody (ex-Murder City Devils) and John Atkins (ex-764-Hero) have united to form The John and Spencer Booze Explosion.
Having debuted the band live at Seattle's Velvet Elvis Theater a few years ago,
they are now set to release an album on NYC's Tiger Style
Records. Also in the band is Joe Plummer
(Black Heart Procession, Magic Magicians), Dann Galluci (Murder City Devils),
Jim Roth (Delusions, Built to Spill), and indie producer Phil Ek. No word on
what the band sounds like as of yet but Pitchfork is toting it as a joke-cover
band.

It's like a dream come true! It could be gospel music and I'd still like it, probably!

That name is awesome. I wonder if they will have to get any clearance from the real band. Hilarious, nonetheless. sickboi | Features
