Tours: Iceage (North America)

Danish hardcore/punk quartet Iceage have announced a run of North American tour dates this summer including appearances at Chaos in Tejas and Pitchfork Music Festival. They released the critically acclaimed New Brigade last year.

The day they play Pitchfork also has The Men, Thee Oh Sees and Ty Segall. I'm going to have to work my connections and see if I can get in that day.

That said, hopefully all four of them play other post or pre-shows that weekend.

I was disappointed when I listened to this band. With a name like Iceage, they don't sound a thing like the Descendents.

this band is awesome and people hate them. i guess that's punk enough for me!!!

Apparently they were real hit or miss on the tour last summer. The one Chicago date I saw (I missed the loft show the night before, thanks a lot old friend having an engagement party) was definitely in the "On" category so I consider myself lucky. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vIAfQM85-zc Here's the full set.

I forget all the time that these guys are all only 17-18 years old, and they were half a world away from home, so it's not too strange they'd have some "meh" shows.
