Eve 6

Eve 6 have posted the first song from Speak in Code which is due out April 24th, 2012 via Fearless. Formed in the '90s, the band had a radio hit with "Inside Out" but split after their 2003 album, It's All In Your Head. They reformed in 2008 and this will be their first record since then.

If you stay away from the album reviews, Pitchfork is actually awesome. They have a pretty wide range of coverage and post new tracks/videos appropriately. I'd say I'm actively into about 1/3 of what they cover but that ratio isn't any better or worse than modern day PN.

It's really hard to show love for such a lame song. I'm psyched about the other songs they've released, so far, and would still say I'm looking forward to the record.

that's fair. i got wrapped up in being psyched about the OTHER stuff i'd heard prior to this song. (which i still think is aight) i've been sort of embarassingly obsessed with Lost & Found.

In Eve6's defense it's easy to see this is just the poppy, radio-friendly single for the new album. The other 2 tracks released from the album (and 1 demo that didn't make the album) all sound way less overproduced and synthy, and more like stuff off of Horrorscope. As a big fan of Eve6 I agree this song sucks, but I'm still excited for the new album.

While I agree that this song is lame I still have respect for these guys. They've released some solid songs on a consistent basis after Inside Out became their main hit.
