Cedric Bixler-Zavala of The Mars Volta is back to promoting their new album Noctourniquet after the reunion of At the Drive-In at Coachella and a handful of club shows in Texas. Bixler-Zavala broke down the songs on their new album in a 11-minute interview.

Really? I watched the whole thing on YouTube and thought it was pretty awesome. Totally different experience watching it from my office then in the crowd, so I could be wrong. But I though they sounded pretty great.

Pathetic? Jesus, I must be missing something. Maybe I amped myself up too much and had blinders on. I remember really enjoying Lopsided and Pattern Against User though, and that was from Week 1.

I enjoyed watching this because I never know what the fuck this guy is singing about. On the other hand, I enjoy this album more so then some of their past attempts. Nothing can touch Deloused In The Comatorium though.
