Courtney Love doesn't actually have rights to Kurt Cobain likeness
by

Though she's frequently made lots of embarrassing outbursts about her late - and lucrative - husband, it turns out that Courtney Love doesn't actually have a legal say in the matter any more.

According to a report from The Fix, Cobain's only child and photographer's muse, Frances Bean Cobain has apparently controlled the use of Kurt's image since 2009. The 19-year old has complete control of the image which can be worth millions of dollars per use. Not only that, but she also - along with Larry Mestel, of Primary Wave Music - controls his compositions as well, meaning Love's outburst over the use of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" in the Muppets movie was pretty much just hot air.

So in honor of that.
