The Briggs have released their first song after a two year hiatus. The band last released Come All You Madmen in 2008 via Side One Dummy Records.

So Joey Briggs has been brain washed by turning to Christianity,hmm never thew that. On a more mature note I was just wondering the other day if The Briggs were still together and etc,nice to hear some new stuff.

To each his own, and it's not like he's on the front page of every newspaper and blog preaching about it - I enjoy the Briggs. If he starts tyring to convert people via his music, then I'll stop listening.

my comment was actually well meant, I enjoy the music, and appreciate that he doesn't try to convert people. The bitching I've seen about his choices of religion ignores that actually, his music's good.

Exactly. I have met him on multiple occaisions, probably one of the nicest guys i have met. Also, he has never brought up religion. And they are great live.

What have their religious beliefs to do with their music? Nothing. It is not that they try to drag people into their religion with their songs and music. And as long as it is that way, I ll love them as a band.

If the bro's are still Scientologists then they are supporting an evil pyramid scheme organisation that breaks up families and has even killed people (Google Lisa McPherson). They also keep old staff member imprisoned in a camp in Hemet. Look out for Knowledge Report, a massive Scientology expose documentary coming soon from Mark Bunker. Scientology is not a religion, it's a cult.

...yet I'm betting you wouldn't support a Nazi band. There are NSBM bands out there I WOULD listen to, but they're fascists so they don't get my money or my attention. Same here.

You're right, I would NEVER support or even listen to a Nazi or fascist band. Still, I would not compare any organisation or religion to the threats caused by Nazis. However, I must admit that I am not too familiar with the ideology of the Scientology sect, I only know some facts. Teach me.
