Sense Field (confirms) reunion for Revelation 25th Anniversary Fest

90s-era post-hardcore/emo outfit Sense Field has confirmed the long-standing rumours that they would be reuniting for the upcoming celebration of Revelation Records' 25th Anniversary. The show is a one-time reunion set for June 7th at The Glass House in Pomona, CA.

The band is promising a set assembled from their three 90s-era Revelation Records albums - 1994's Sense Field, 1994's Killed For Less, and 1996's Building. After their time on Revelation, they signed to Warner Music Group and released Tonight and Forever in 2001 and finally split up in 2004, shortly after the release of Living Outside the year prior.

Members went on to Further Seems Forever, Solea, among other acts.

I feel like these guys are the forgotten wheel. I enjoyed the one album I heard, but no one else seems to care for them. They were always that band on revelation that I didn't listen to. I guess just my luck?

Anyone who has ever heard Monroe Doctrine feels that way about Farside. Aside from the lame joke songs that are thrown into the middle of that album, it's insanely good. It could have been a 10 or 11-song masterpiece, but they had all that stupid filler in there for no reason.

I guess it depends on how old you are. Too young or too old means that you probably never had a reason to check them out.
When I got into the genre, they were amongst Far, Quicksand, Cap'n Jazz, Braid, Christie Front Drive, Soulside and Jawbox as bands who had at least two amazing albums you just had to go buy - essential bands/records.

But if they were the one band on Revelation you never listened to - you're probably a bit older than me.

Their major label fucked them over and they were never the same afterwards. That unreleased album is better than anything they attempted after that.

Sergie has been busy with Samiam. I love all of the Solea stuff 'even stranger days' is such a killer song.

I still listen to that record quite a bit. I bought it because they were playing near me, got super-into it and then they cancelled. Still bummed out.

Solea is one of my favorite bands, I wish they'd do another record. Both LPs are perfect. The stuff that came before the albums was okay. I would kill to see them.
