The Lawrence Arms: “These Pigs Seems to Be Getting the Best of Me”

Brendan Kelly of The Lawrence Arms debuted a new song for Love Drunk Studio when they visited Chicago. The new song, titled "These Pigs Seem to be Getting the Best of Me," was performed at a bar in Wrigleyville. The film producers report that the song is set to appear on a forthcoming Lawrence Arms release.

Glad they're working on a new album. Somebody here posted a video of him playing this somewhere else a few months ago... I'm interested in hearing some new Chris songs; read on his twitter that the new Sundowner album is almost ready.

I thought We Chase The Waves was...kinda mediocre. Certainly not as good as Four One Five Two (I think that's what the first one was called).

I'm not on twitter, but I snoop around sometimes because nobody seems to update their websites anymore. I agree - Four One Five Two is one of my favorite records ever, and I feel that Chris kind of fell short with We Chase the Waves... Especially with Mouth of a Tiger... If the production of that record had been more like Four One Five Two it would have been better.

I guess I'm in the minority, but I love BOTH Four One Five Two and We Chase the Waves equally. I like that each album has a different and unique sound. I do agree with you tho, the live version of Mouth of a Tiger that you posted, does have a better feel to it. I'm just glad we have more music from these guys to look forward to.

FYI: Love Drunk is doing some really cool things and are currently on a "Live Music Video Tour". It is kind of like those video shows that bands stop by on tour in various cities except these dudes and lady travel around and bring the video equipment to the bands. Definitely check out the Love Drunk website for more cool videos and their tour itinerary. They are based in Omaha, NE and this is their second tour. They shot my band, Fortnight, last year and it was pretty awesome.
