Tours: Planes Mistaken for Stars

Illinois post-hardcore band Planes Mistaken For Stars will be reuniting for a run of shows in August. The band formed in 1997, and called it a day in 2007. Members went on to bands such as Hawks and Doves, Ghost Buffalo, Git Some, and others.

I saw the Brass Rail and thought they were actually making their mighty return back to Fort Wayne, Indiana. Unfortunately, 'twas not to be.

Not a huge fan of these guys but I had Copper and Stars on some comp and holy shit that song is still great as hell

speaking of former No Idea bands...i'm very torn on the new HWM record. the Chuck songs are some of his best work, but the Wollard songs wouldn't even make the cut on Ship Theives albums....really REALLY boring filler songs....but Chucks are SO good it hurts.....hmmmm

I live down the street from Maxwells. It's also a restaurant with the venue in the back. It's small. But really great food and staff. And i nice German bar across the street

While that doesn't outright state it, I feel like it's implying members started those bands after this band. Ghost Buffalo co-existed with Planes for years.

8/14! You will be in good company & plenty of it. Trust me. The show will not actually be in Cincinnati. It will be just over the bridge in Covington KY. The venue is Madison Live. Madison Live is a new spot opening in June that is attached to The Madison Theater. I will keep you posted.
