I miss Agent M. This sounds like they found an old Denali record but, lovely as her voice is, Emily just doesn't have Maura Davis' pipes. She never forces her way up over the drones and that, for me, is what keeps this atmospheric stuff from being dull.

All of their tracks sound really different. I prefer their more uptempo stuff, but its nice to see them branching out in different directions instead of pigeonholing themselves. |
