I listened to this album a couple of times with the wife (also a big fan) this weekend. We were only grabbed by a couple of songs. However, that's how it was with Even if it Kills Me, and that album really grew on me (and it's my wife's second favorite). It has the typical count of Death Cabby songs, early 90s Alt Rock songs, throw-back synthy songs and pure bubblegum pop songs, but it just hasn't stoked me out as quickly as the first full length and the two Hoppus-produced records. Those are flawless. I'll probably buy it anyway... At the very least, we'll catch a show. |
