Joyce Manor (West Coast)

Against Me! have announced that following their FYF Fest performance they will be doing a short run of the West Coast. Supporting the band on these dates are Andrew Jackson Jihad and Joyce Manor. The band also just announced that they will be playing Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin Texas. Still no word on a release date for their new album yet.

Yes, brewery upstairs (pretty good beer, too) and venue downstairs. We've been lucky to get a ton of awesome shows there over the years.

My guess about when the new Against Me! album is just judging by their complete tour schedule. Between the show on Aug. 3 and the show on Sept. 2 they aren't touring at all. Granted it could come out after they play Fun Fun Fun Fest in early November. Has there been any news that they've even been recording?

They recorded the entire album acoustically, and then started electric (but didn't finish) before the tour with The Cult. They were going to finish recording after the tour (which I think is done now?), and the album will be "probably in the Fall".

Cool tour. I've said this before, and they're bviously totally different in terms of sound/scene politics baggage, etc., but something about Joyce Manor reminds me of Against Me! back when they were really coming into their own. I think it's the live show; JM has that same chaotic but super tight energy in their sets that made AM! so compelling back in the day.
