Quicksand announce show in New York City

Post-hardcore band Quicksand have announced another reunion show, this time on the east coast. The band will be performing at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City on August 24th. Tickets go on sale today at noon. Quicksand reunited earlier this year for a performance at the Revelation 25th anniversary in Pomona, CA in June. They are also scheduled to play FYF Fest in September.

In addition to the upcoming shows, Quicksand's 1993 debut full-length, Slip, is being reissued on vinyl.

Just do a tour, please.... so at least when the real young kids hear this and see them, at least some better bands will spawn off of this in another 8 years or so

I hope you don't mean from a business stand-point, because if so, then you've finally proved yourself to be clueless.

They could do a world tour, easily. I'm basing that on numbers/facts from the Rival Schools tour of '08 when they had no new record or anything.

These sold out, literally, in seconds. I tried 5-seconds after the Ticketmaster link went up to no avail.

Saw them in 94 opening for Offspring & in 97/98 opening for Deftones. Pre-ordered the yellow/green vinyl. Would pay to see them again tomorrow, so book a Chicago show soon.

I used to see people going "omg please please please reform" (and for good reason) quite a lot, but now they have it's happening with very little hype. Strange.

Why? I was surprised by how much Pedals actually sounded like Rival Schools (despite me not really liking it). He seems like a pretty passionate person, so he's likely to get into that mindset.

I think it could be pretty cool. In fact, being a more experienced musician would help Quicksand since they'd be more likely to just get a bit weirder as opposed to ploddy and boring.

It'd be better than that Drug Church band.
