Jimmy Eat World to begin recording new album next month

As we suspected, Jimmy Eat World will begin recording their next full length very soon. A Twitter user asked drummer Zach Lind who confirmed it:

We'll be recording a new album about a month from now.

The band last released Invented in 2010.

It really bums me out how disinterested i am with their post-Futures efforts. I love their first four albums so much.

Agreed. Chase This Light and Invented were good, but they weren't Futures good.

You said it. A couple good songs on their last few albums, but nothing like Bleed American or Clarity.

Check out their EP 'Stay On My Side Tonight'. The first song 'Disintegration' is amazing

upfront bias disclaimer, this is my all time favorite band

I suspect I will be really bummed out when this record drops, find the 4 good songs on it, and just pretend that if they reshuffled the album's order to feature those 4 songs at the front it would be "their greatest effort to date".

Seriously though, these guys can do no wro....ah forget it.

invented is a cracking album. not a bad song on it. it took a long while to sink in for me though, but it really fits certain moods well.

I really, really want this to be good. I know they still can make good tunes, but the last two albums wasn't good overall, although they both had good songs.

It will be good! These guys ain't no Good Charlotte or anything, they write good solid records with shelf life. I believe they are one of the most undervalued bands. Futures still kicks my ass in on a regular basis!
