El Hefe and Fat Mike of NOFX both posted a link to a clip of Tony Sly and Joey Cape performing a bittersweet acoustic rendition of NOFX's "Linoleum." The cover was the final song from the duo's show at The High Dive in Gainesville, FL on July 29, 2012. It would be Tony's last show. He shockingly passed away just days later on August 1st.

Those who were there didn't realize the chance they had to see this performance. Can't wait for Lagwagon to record Resolve II.

Tony seems healthy in that video. If anything, he looks tired. Such a shame. What a tremendous songwriter and person we lost.

It's kind of ridiculous that there's been no cause of death released yet. He was a very important person within the punk community, and as much as people say it's none of our business, I think it is because he had so many fans that cared for his music and him as an artist. Either way, great last song to end with.

So Common Grounds closed and was bought and turned into Double Down Live. Double Down started getting pressure from the Double Down in Vegas about the name (who didn't anticipate that?), so they changed it to the High Dive. There's a Hi-Dive in Denver, but they'll probably avoid any more guff because the spelling is different. Point is, the new owners are bogglingly uncreative and they waste that space big time.

I was waiting for him to say, "I'll see you guys later" or something, but he never did. Really weird and sad watching.

WOW! I can't believe he lasted away at such an early age leaving behind his family. I remember seeing No Use for the first time 10 years ago. Amazing band with such great talent. He will be forever missed.

the goodbyes and thankyous he says at the end are really fucking sad now |
