No Doubt detail new album

After revealing the artwork last week, No Doubt has posted the track listing for their upcoming album Push and Shove. It's due out September 25, 2012 and is the first material from the popular ska-tinged outfit since 2001's Rock Steady.

For a website that has no problem calling Bowling for Soup a "ska-punk band", I must admit I'm surprised to hear them accurately refer to No Doubt as "ska-tinged" instead of, say, "skinhead reggae superstars" or something.

Waiting for a Tragic Kingdom 2 is like waiting for a Dookie 2. Just not gonna happen. The only difference is Green Day doesn't completely suck now.

I'm looking forward to this. In my opinion, No Doubt hasn't released an album that wasn't great, yet.

They haven't hit rock bottom yet. Wait til the band breaks up, and Gavin Rossdale leaves her and takes all the children in a vicious custody battle, leaving Gwen alone in a large house with only here prescription drugs. When she becomes the 40 year old Lohan, she'll be ready.

No doubt were skay punk orange county whatever in the 80s and early 90s.
They got more pop like with tragic kingdom, they loved it money fame etc
Continued to evolve as a pop mainstreme act....

I dont think they claim to be in any alternative etc genre but they do have their roots in it. Loads of bands are like this to a bigger or lesser extent. Then you get bands which are way true to the roots, say a band like Slayer.

I for one would punch the air if they did an album like the first self titled one but that was never gonna happen so pfff, its kinda like you have to assume they are not even the same band even if its the same people.

Certainly a bad call to include them on a punknews blog.
