Jimmy Eat World begin recording

Jimmy Eat World have begun recording their eighth full length album and first since Invented in 2010. The band is working with engineer/producer Alain Johannes. Johannes, who was a member of Eleven, previous engineered, mixed or produced music for Mark Lanegan, Them Crooked Vultures, Arctic Monkeys, Spinerette, Eagles of Death Metal and others.

The band has been posting updates via their Twitter throughout pre-production.

knowing when mark trombino is the fifth member of your band is important. don't enter the studio without him.

While Eleven was "his" band, he's probably more notably in Queens of the Stone Age, and was a touring member of Them Crooked Vultures.

Not necessarily. Futures was produced by Gil Norton and it happens to be my favorite.

That was their high point IMO. It's all been down hill since then.

It's weird, I kind of jumped from Bleed American to Chase This Light, and never really gave Futures a chance.

Solid band. everything this band does sounds great. and they are great live.

I left off Jimmy Eat World (1994) because it's out of print and a lot of people never even heard this, including me.
