Clever video. So the burning question is did Rob quit or did the rest of the band boot him out?
MN_DrNick (October 12, 2012)
It's 2012 and both the Ataris (use the name loosely since it's just Kris Roe and the Allstars) and Patent Pending are still somehow bands. How is this possible?
franchise (October 12, 2012)
Well Patent Pending blows way harder than the Ataris, so why isn't anyone asking the important questions like: who the fuck cares? OR why would one shitty band hire a guitar player from an even shittier band to play drums? Huh?
fattony (October 12, 2012)
"Little to no drums will be thrown."
lngsht (October 12, 2012)
After watching this video im cool if Kris throws the rest of the backline to this dumbass.
lngsht (October 12, 2012)
So... doesnt punknews have anything to say about those 4 articles razorcake wrote calling them pretty much the worst sellouts in punk rock since warped tour?
laserguidedbygod (October 12, 2012)
I actually feel like this justifies Roe's actions. If only for the fact that Patent Pending seem like the worst fucking dudes on the planet.
swank (October 12, 2012)
I wanted to throw drums at his head about a minute or so into this aggressively unfunny video.
timahelm (October 12, 2012)
THIS IS SO LAAAAAME! This guy is super lame! This video is incredibly lame!
nicknocturnal (October 13, 2012)
Yeah, I thought I'd check out some Patent Pending on Youtube after all this to see what those dudes were all about. Holy shit, worst crap ever. They make Matt Toka look like Joe Strummer. Awful.
chri5topher (October 13, 2012)
Wow...this guy is a dork....What a lame video. I would have tossed drums at him too.
nick_k (October 13, 2012)
Ok, that was pretty stupid, but I have to say, that quote at the end was kind of funny sort of, maybe, i think
danwazz (October 13, 2012)
I'm excited because I don't give a shit. Also, I had no idea the Ataris were somehow relevant. "The more you know."
AXL09 (October 13, 2012)
You know if he just came out and said what he had to say without trying to be funny, or any of bullshit in the video people may have taken his side and not considered him such a total douche.
cheesecakemafia (October 13, 2012)
I don't think continuing to play as guitars and drums are raining down around you constitutes "cat-like reflexes."
anarchypants (October 14, 2012)
I hope Kris makes a shoddy reenactment of this video.
nedsammy (October 14, 2012)
He seems like a bit of a goon but hey. I didn't get the "how dare you drink on tour" coupled with "throwing drums is rocknroll" bullshit in Kris' video.
Tahoejeff (October 14, 2012)
I don't care about either of these bands, but I love how this dude completely mocks Kris. Hahahaha
jeffrocentric (October 14, 2012)
i went to high school with a different former drummer of the ataris. lots of former members, it seems...
nickdiesel (October 14, 2012)
this guy has just as much charisma as you'd expect from a pop rock drummer
test (October 15, 2012)
patent pending makes alot of effort on the production of their internet videos in an attempt to seem relevant. i'm somewhat associated with the nj/ny/pa ska and even 8 years ago when ska was somewhat more popular, neither of these bands were being talked about, let alone today.
straightboymike (October 15, 2012)
This guy loves all the attention that this incident has given him. He seems like such an pompous ass. I wish kris had better aim.
PrivateRAdio (October 15, 2012)
For everyone calling this video douchey....did you guys SEE the shit Kris Roe put up? Has anyone ever in the history of YouTube ever looked like such a dickbag? "It's rock and roll! Look at the Replacements and Jawbreaker!" and "We made this video instead of writing a response to you like other bullshit bands would do". Give me a fucking break.
DesertBurst92 (October 16, 2012)
After watching this video and the response that the rest of the band posted...I'm really glad I haven't cared about this band ever |

Ridiculous, yet somehow charming.
