Off With Their Heads will be adding some west coast dates to their current tour of the US and Canada. French Exit will be accompanying them on the dateds.

We put on a bunch of shows when I was there 95-97. NUFAN, Pulley, Strung Out, Diesel Boy, I forget who else...

The Fat Tour played there a few years after too.

i saw Mudhoney there. Jawbox too. I have tapes of my interviews w/ Jawbox and Diesel Boy around somewhere. Tobi Vail's sister had a band that came through too. Not the Bangs, but before that.

Before we started putting on shows, there wasn't shit tho...so maybe bands forgot about it again...

Also, do they mean Monstro's Pizza? i could go for some Monstros...

Yeah, it's Monstro's. The main problem is that the Brick Works shut down. That was the venue for a lot of the bands that aren't "big" enough to fill The Senator (which has shitty sound). Face to Face, Suicide Machines, Bouncing Souls, etc., etc. I saw a TON of good shows there when it was open. Now we really just have The Senator (and Monstro's for some of the smaller shows). Saw Less Than Jake and Reel Big Fish there on Saturday, but that was the first decent show since Social D in January. The Brick Works is just some lame ass club called The Beach now.

did Monstro's move to a bigger place?

i can't imagine a band even fitting in there...they didn't do shows when I was there. Just delivered awesome medium pizza, garlic bread, and 2 cokes for 10 bucks.

The Senator was still a movie theatre when I was there hah.

BrickWorks did have a lot of the bigger shows later on; that's where the Fat tour was.

We had to put ours on at the Zocolo Room.

I'm sure a lot of the joints are closed down now from when I was there. The place I saw Mudhoney turned into a western bar w/ a mechanical bull.

I can't even remember the names of them...Juanitas had really small shows. I saw Cat Power there.

We did have to drive to Sacramento or SF a lot to see stuff.

Does that town even have any record stores anymore?

i've never been to chico, but i've heard from other bands that you get free pizza when you play monstro's?
so i'm looking forward to that show more than any ever.

It was damn good pizza back in the day.

For any meat-eaters, you must hit Nation-wide Freezer Meats in Sacramento (20th &H) for best burgers in your life.

Nope. Same place. I've actually never been to a show there, but they've been doing them for years. It is small though. Cobra Skulls on 11/10 and now OWTH on 11/21, so I'm gonna check a few out. Yeah... that western bar is the Crazy Horse. They still have overpriced drinks and drunk, fat cow chicks riding that bull 7 nights a week. I think there's one record store left on 5th and Main. The Underground closed years ago though.

Off With Their Heads is a great band and great guys. Any band that would play my buddy Steve's bar in Keyser, WV is tops.
