Hot Water Music have announced their first headlining tour of 2013. The band has tapped The Menzingers and La Dispute to support the run which begins in the second half of January.

They're on the bill for the Santa Ana show, at least. Makes me think about hitting it up, provided nobody else from the Org is going.

Makes sense PunkNews wouldn't mention The Menzingers on this tour...they don't really fit into this site's demographic.

I'm sure there's a lot of Orgcorians at a HWM concert who'd like the chance to lay a beating on The Skibz. I'll have to buy a fake beard and some flannel and try to blend in with the crowd...the more I look like Al Borland, the better chance I have of leaving with my limbs intact. >_>

Anyhoo, I'd just like to revisit my complaint above, not because I actually give a f*** that The Menzingers weren't mentioned in the article, but because I'm genuinely confused about something, namely this: http://goo.gl/KnQsd
HWM has plastered that poster all over their website and social networks, and both La Dispute and The Menzingers have linked to it on their own. So...unless they intentionally left out the third of three bands on tour, where is PunkNews getting their news if not from the direct source? O_o

I seriously don't know what it is about me that makes people think I'm fat. I would figure that being scrawny and underweight (which I am) would be an image more closely associated with that type of weird/nerdy persona, wouldn't it? I mean, I automatically think of the "98 lb. weakling" stereotype, but maybe that's outdated or something. I dunno.

I saw them at Fest and George was in the room watching their set. Also, it's not the first time Hot Water Music have taken La Dispute on tour with them, so I wouldn't be surprised if HWM actually *GASP* enjoys La Dispute's music.

Haven't been there in Years (it reopened in the past few years) ... but it's HWM in FL .... GO.

Much smaller than House of Blues in Orlando, and their reunion show there in '07 was way sold out. Get those tickets early.

From what I understand the office I would be working out of is in the downtown area? What would one pay for rent?

It definitely depends on the job. Living alone you'll need a decent paycheck. Studios will run you about 1500 now. A room with roommates will go at about 700-1000. Don't try to live downtown. Most of the craigslist postings for "downtown" are at Civic Center or the Tenderloin. Not good and nowhere near the downtown where offices and jobs are. If you live somewhere like Oakland you'll end up spending about $150 a month to commute. If you drive parking will cost more and be too much of a pain. Live in the city.It sounds crazy but it's doable. Jobs pay more here and it's fun. Lots of shows. It's well worth it.
