I was supposed to be in this video but had to decline. Not too disappointed now that I've watched the video, since I was supposed to be an extra, but there were like 3 extras total in it.

if smaller bands got 1% of the publicity of Green Day - there would most likely be a stronger scene

Depends on what you mean by smaller. When they post about truly small/obscure bands that hardly get many comments (read: page views).

Nah...They would rather ignore good, lesser known bands in favor of reporting on crappy bands that are either overexposed, overrated, long past their prime and/or aren't really punk even though this is supposed to be a "punk" news site.

I hadn't heard of Great Lakes USA before last week and then six days later there was another article about them on here. Only one example, I know, but it's not like they don't cover smaller bands.

Also, looking at the Streams on the right side of the page, I'd say all eight I can see are "smaller bands". Hell, of the eight, I've only heard of six of them. No better way to expose smaller bands than to let people listen to their music, right?

This would actually be pretty great power pop if the vocals weren't so artificially processed. The song writing is fine. It just sounds like a bowl of plastic fruit.

I don't think they're as artificial as you hoped they would be. It's just reverb. So far none of these songs are really overproduced by mainstream standards. The last 2 albums definitely were though
