Videos: R.E.M.: “Blue”

R.E.M. have released a video for their song "Blue." The song appears on the band's final album, Collapse Into Now, released last year. Actor James Franco directed the video, as part of the proposed Collapse Into Now video project; the video also features actress Lindsay Lohan.

This was one of my favorite songs off 'Collapse'. I thought it was a really solid album, or at least a better one to sign off with than 'Accelerate' which was just "meh". Guess I'm alone there. I guess I'm also alone in saying that anything featuring Lindsay Lohan is simply A-OK.

"Accerlerate" and "Collapse" were the best albums R.E.M. had released in YEARS...I was glad to see them go out on somewhat of a high note...

i like james franco's whole "renaissance man" thing (why not do everything) but that video sucks (i guess that's why)

Jack of all trades, master of none.

I still maintain his only worthwhile contribution to society/Skibzciety has been 'Your Highness', and the fact that his last name is similar to Ani DiFranco's, who I saw in concert many years ago and was very good.

I always thought U2 and REM would go on forever. They were so popular for a while. I'm not sure what happened in REMs case. I guess a few bad records.

If Franco goes ahead with a Blood Meridian film I will shoot myself in his face. Terrible album and band.
