Shortly after they get back from Europe, Dropkick Murphys will be hitting the road for their annual St. Patrick's Day tour. The band will soon be releasing Signed And Sealed In Blood on January 8, 2013.
I went to their show at Brighton Music Hall last year, where they played 'Do or Die' front to back and all pre-'Warrior's Code' material. While yeah, it would have been cooler with Mike singing his songs, it was a cool time. Crowd notwithstanding, the band puts on a hell of a show.
Saw them once when they did that tour with H2O and Civet. Got on stage for "Skinhead on the MBTA". No need to ever see them again. Crowd wasn't bad at all. My parents were surprised that I didn't go see them a few weeks ago when they came back to Fargo.
Yeah, until I found out they were doing 'Do or Die,' I had said I never needed to see them again, but that seemed worth it. I had a great time. But I doubt I'd go see 'em again.
Do they sell the tickets to Brighton Music hall separately? I hate their new stuff but love the old stuff and would also love to see them in a small venue like BMH. Just feel like it would sell out fast.
I don't know what the plan is for this year, but last year you had to show up at one of a few places and buy tickets in person, day of. Made scalping harder.
I can't even begin to imagine them filling up even half of the Boston Garden. There's just no way these days. Maybe when Shipping Up to Boston was in its prime, but half of my friends can't stand this band anymore.
I've never gone to a DKM show without more than one person on the crowd trying to start a fight with me, my sister, or one of my friends. The fans ruin the whole thing for me. I think they're fun live, but I'm not trying to get beat up by a drunk and tatted bodybuilder.
